Need help with MirrorVO? Start with the steps and common problems below; if that does not solve it, write to us.
How to mirror
- Make sure your phone and your TV are on the SAME Wi-Fi network.
- Open MirrorVO and pick your TV from the list.
- Tap the red "START BROADCAST" box.
- Tap "Start Broadcast" again in the system sheet that appears.
- It can take 10-15 seconds for the picture to appear on the TV.
Only you can start the broadcast. iOS does not let apps start screen broadcasting on their own; the confirmation in the system sheet is required every time.
Troubleshooting
My TV does not appear in the list
Are the phone and the TV on the same Wi-Fi network? On some routers the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands act as separate networks and devices cannot see each other.
Have you granted local network permission? On your iPhone, Settings → MirrorVO → Local Network must be on.
Bring the TV to its home screen, then close and reopen the app. A sleeping TV may not answer discovery requests.
Do not use a guest network. Guest networks deliberately block devices from reaching each other.
It connects to the TV but no picture appears
The most common cause is the iPhone's "Private Wi-Fi Address" feature. Some routers block traffic between the TV and devices that use a randomised hardware address.
Fix: Settings → Wi-Fi → the (i) button next to your network → turn off "Private Wi-Fi Address" → rejoin the network.
If your router has "Client Isolation" or "AP Isolation", turn it off.
Corporate, school and hotel networks usually block device-to-device traffic; try it on your home network.
The picture stutters or freezes
Move the phone closer to the router. Screen mirroring is a continuous high-bandwidth stream, so it is the first thing to suffer when the Wi-Fi signal weakens.
Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi if you can. It makes a noticeable difference.
If another device on the network is downloading or backing up, pause it for a while.
Lower one step in Settings → Video and Audio Quality. The app also lowers the quality by itself when the stream falls behind.
There is no sound
iOS blocks the audio of some apps from screen broadcasts at system level. Video players, Safari and Music are usually affected. This is not a bug in the app and it affects every screen mirroring app in the same way.
Audio from games and from most apps is carried normally.
Check that Settings → Video and Audio Quality → "Mirror audio" is turned on.
Netflix, Disney+ and similar apps show a black screen
These apps use copy protection (DRM) and do not allow their content to be included in a screen broadcast. The picture stays black.
This is not a shortcoming of the app but a restriction imposed by the streaming services; no screen mirroring app can get around it.
There are black bars at the edges of the picture
The phone screen and the TV screen do not have the same aspect ratio. To show the whole picture without cropping, space is left at the edges so that game interfaces and text are not cut off.
When you hold the phone in landscape, the "Fill the screen" option in Settings spreads the picture across the TV, cropping the edges slightly.
I paid but Premium did not unlock
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the Settings → MirrorVO Premium screen.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the purchase.
If the problem persists, write to us and mention the purchase date and the plan you chose.
Frequently asked questions
Which TVs does it work with?
TVs and devices with Chromecast are supported, including TVs carrying the "Chromecast built-in" logo. If your TV has no Chromecast but has a web browser, tap "TV not in the list?" in the app and mirror through the TV's own browser.
Why is the picture a few seconds behind?
Screen mirroring compresses the picture and sends it to the TV over the network. With a Chromecast the delay is usually around one second. Through the TV's web browser it is 3-5 seconds, because the browser plays the stream in short segments and keeps a small safety buffer so the picture does not stutter. When playing games, watch the phone screen.
Do I need an internet connection?
For standard mirroring it is not needed. As long as the phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, the picture goes straight from the phone to the TV.
The one exception is low-latency mode: the TV loads its player from the internet, so the TV needs an internet connection as well. If it does not have one, the app falls back to standard mirroring by itself.
Can I use my phone while mirroring?
Yes. You can leave the app and use others; mirroring continues in the background. Whatever is on your screen appears on the TV.
Does it drain the battery?
Screen mirroring is demanding: the picture is encoded continuously and sent over Wi-Fi. The battery runs down faster than usual and the phone may get warm. For long sessions we recommend plugging in.
How do I stop mirroring?
Tap the red indicator at the top of the screen and choose "Stop Broadcast", or use the "Stop Mirroring" button in the app.
What is free, and what needs a subscription?
For 24 hours from your first broadcast everything is free and unlocked: highest quality, lowest latency, no card details needed. After that, mirroring requires a MirrorVO Premium subscription, monthly or yearly. There are no ads anywhere in the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select MirrorVO and cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; Premium stays active until then.

The easiest route is Settings → Report a Problem inside the app. It gathers the technical details for you and shows you everything before anything is sent. Reporting while mirroring is running attaches far more useful information. We usually reply within 2-3 working days.
